Goodbye For Now

Getting ready for 7 tiring days of sports camp, going off to meet the rest in one & half hour's time. :S Met the Sports camp people on Saturday and was a little intimidated by them (the seniors) haha! It indeed has a really different culture from ADM, and I really thank God that I'm in ADM cause I really feel like I belong there. :D

Yesterday we met up again after my church. Went to eat/talk rubbish/get our group identity...and we settled on having henna in the end! Since our world was Music, I suggested that we drew a treble clef on our arms.

Clement was the guinea pig and I drew on him first hahaha.

After that we decided that everyone should get a chance to draw on each other, so the rest took turns to draw!

Kind of excited but scared for later...I hope we all survive! Why do I have a strong feeling it's gonna be another touch rugby torture camp. :S Like grand finale=initiation. Scarred for life. Anyway Amanda and I decided to bring our bros' fieldpacks and it's so huge hahahaha I think I'm gonna get stared at later!

And it's heavy even on its own...

Serenity in the air Tonight

I am half way pass my driving lessons which is so awesome cause I can't wait to be able to drive! (And get pass all the old naggy instructors zomg) Not to be mean, but there's something about old naggy people that makes me really REALLY annoyed. Especially when I'm grown up and intelligent enough to know what exactly I'm doing/what to do, but they just have to tell me what to do anyway to make themselves feel wise. Which totally makes me perform worst cause I'm distracted by them, sigh.

Anyway I had a really awesome time with Nette Jasmine and Faith tonight and Jasmine's house. It has been a long time since I've seen the other two! Was kinda expecting more people to turn up, but I guess we still had a fun time together! I hope we'll have more of such meet-ups cause it feels nice. (: But it's gna be quite hard since most of them stay in the east....

I know I've said this many times before, but I'm kinda dreading having two camps consecutively for the next two weeks!! ): I'm like confused now cause I'm half excited and half scared/sian for sports camp. I hope the people there are nice to me!! And don't make me do weird shit, or make me swim across the sea. So anyway I'll be off on Monday, back from sports camp on Sunday, and the next Monday I'll be off to hall camp again till next next Friday so wish me luck! ): I will miss my bed dearly.

& I succeeded in making my own passport photo with photobooth this morning for the camp form cause I couldn't stand how bad my real passport photo was (with short hair), HAHA.

Babsey's Boobday ♥

We finally had some time-out together on J's 19th, which was on Monday! (: It has been a long long lonnnggg time since we've gone out to town together. :B After having my first two driving lessons on the same day, I was dead in the night and both of us just died on the sofa once we reached home.

It was my first time trying Fish&Co and I have to say it was really good! As compared to Manhattan, but it's so over-priced hahaha!

The highlight of the day was our long awaited Harry Potter @ IMAX!! The 3D effects was quite awesome and everything was crystal clear. But we thought the movie was a little disappointing to have ended like that...and I was asking J so many questions cause I didn't know what was going on haha I think I was quite annoying!

Have been taking driving lessons and it's quite fun!! I can't wait to get my license then can drive around woohoooo!! :D

UOB Painting 2011

ADMFOC! ♥

5 days of camp just zoomed pass like that, and I was still wondering how I was going to survive it on the first day cause it seemed vv long...

And all I can say is that I love ADM so much! The people there are so nice and crazy and easy to hang out with. (: I've always thought that making friends is tiring, but this made me want to make even more friends haha! And all the seniors have put in so so much effort in this camp, I really love the props and decorations used for the tribal theme! And all the games and activities they planned for us were really awesomexz. And they must have slept like really little cause we haven't been sleeping much hahaha so touched.

Missing the people already. ):

Slept through till dinner time today when J came into my room to wake me, and it brought an instant smile to my face. :D Feels so damn good to finally see his face. Went out to eat tauhuey for dinner cause I was craving for it since afternoon hehee! So glad to be home and I love the smell of my bed.

(& Still trying to wash off the paint on my hair I think I'm gna go bald soon)

Busy Like A Bee

Submitted my UOB painting today (FINALLY) and haha what a relief! I was still working on it yesterday and hopefully the paint was actually already dried when it reached there. :/ I secretly acted like it was dry.

I feel so busy cause there's so many upcoming events!!

And anyway I spent my afternoon making a logo for J's blog (which sells apple accessories) and played badminton after that! First time feeling so energetic on the court haha. And we went to collect my guitar today, the saddle's lowered now and it's so nice to play yaaaaaaaay. I will definitely play it more often now. ((:

And that reminds me...I feel so sad cause I didn't know Jayesslee were coming to Singapore and never got the chance to even know of their concert. ): Must be all the kiasu people buy tickets even before it got publicized!! ):<

Critic

I reckon one thing everyone fears and dislikes most, is Judgement and Criticism.

Just now as I was painting my uob, every member in the household who walked pass had to comment on the clock that I was still working on. Which I found it very disturbing because paintings don't magically appear on the canvas and look nice, realistic, and how you imagined them to be. They come through much pains of blending.

Well I guess being an artist you have to toughen up and be prepared to take any criticism that comes your way. ): I feel discouraged by such things most of the time, but it makes me look forward to producing even better artworks in the future. (: And I already feel so excited just thinking about the paintings I am about to do after this one is done!

Alrighty just some happier news to make myself feel better...

J has been feeding me with yummy food for the past three days and it really cheers me up. (: He just never fails to surprise me with a different meal each time I'm indecisive of what I want to eat (which is every single day if you know me). With such simple and random ingredients he can just cook up a meal like that. :D And I think his culinary skills are improving...

Ego boost much only, hehe. ♥

Okay I've decided to use this blog only, instead of having two blogs cause it's making me confused hahaaha (I knew it'll turn out this way). So I've brought forward the link to this blog. (: Because I feel that art=personal and personal=art and I can't separate them.

Anyway the other blog is private now (and the link's 'doodlemypoodletoo' if you're curious hahahaa), just a place for me to rant and yadah yadah. I can't bear to leave the blog behind that's why haha, feeling a little sentimental. ): Wanted to invite a few readers but I can't remember anyone's email for now... :/

The main reason why I wanted to use this blog is because I went through much pain doing up the blog skin and template HAHA! After staring at the html till my eye almost rolled out, I HAVE to use this blog. And and and, did you notice the side links?

A Marmite Full of Roses

My mum says she'd be my first customer to get the ball rolling, so here's what I've completed within the span of two nights...

Colour ME Digitally!

Bought a Wacom sketch pad today @ Funan IT Mall today and started working on my sketch as soon as I got home cause I was too excited! Tried some digital painting with photoshop and this is the end result...

Will put up the coloured version instead once I've done a few more sketches this time all digitally. Stay tuned there'll be more portraits coming up in the next few days! (:
